Ingredients

  • 1-2/3 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoons orange extract
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine and set aside.
  2. Use a mixer to blend the butter and sugars until smooth. Add the egg, orange extract, and orange zest and mix to combine.
  3. A little at a time, add the flour mixture. Stir to combine. Fold in the cranberries and the white chocolate chips.
  4. Chill the dough for several hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Let the dough come to room temperature, then drop by a heaping tablespoon onto the baking sheets about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 11-14 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to sit on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to a baking rack.
